Where Memory Meets Artistry
There are no published blog posts yet.Meet me here in my senior years . Still dreaming
Planning to write a sentence or two each day.
MY FRONT YARD
Born in rural Australia, I discovered the power of dreaming
Embraced solitude when I realised I did not understand people.
Discovered quite early in life that relationships confused me
The city of Sydney was vibrant in the sixties
Lived on the island of Okinawa at the end of the Vietnam War!
Most of my friends at that time were Special Forces or CIA operatives
MY OCEAN POOL
It is mid Winter and the plovers have found the bare bit of ground they decree is their nest. They swoop low while screeching as I walk by.. Further under the bushes along the lagoon I find the mated pairs of Australian Pacific black ducks. It is a relief to see them paired and safe. Two years ago, three of them had lost matess and hung around close to the roundabout hoping to find another.

My Every Dawn
Gulls and little terns greet me each sunrise. Often, mine is the only human footprint.
I am careful to walk softly until I find a place to sit and wonder at the beauty of my world.
